What Are the Main Causes of Warts and Can Warts Be Cured?

Most people think that there are many causes of warts. However, the truth is that there is only one culprit to blame. This is the human pappilloma virus or HPV virus. This virus has over 100 different types and is the cause of warts that are found on the different parts of the body. It can be easily acquired in areas that wet and moist such as bathrooms and shower areas and they are highly contagious. This means that they can easily spread from body part to body part and person to person.

While this has been an issue of concern for warts, it still does not affect the fact that the virus itself it is not that dangerous. Warts are quite harmless so anyone can practically live with them in their body if they don’t mind how they look. Also, they have the tendency to disappear by themselves and while this may take some time, if you can live with them you can avoid costly treatments. Be that as it may, most people still prefer to live without warts because they are ugly and irritable. Also, they can be quite painful and inconvenient especially if they are located in key areas like the feet and the genitals or in a spot where your clothing or jewelry rubs against the wart.

When it comes right down to it, the best way to remove warts is to prevent any possibility of their occurrence. Knowing the causes of warts is a good thing as it will help anyone to avoid places or situations where they can acquire warts. They can avoid sharing some of their personal things like towels and razors as this is where the HPV virus is sure to hitchhike towards its next victim. Lastly, they can keep themselves healthy as this can is a good way of preventing not only the occurrence of warts but of any other sickness on their body.

However, if you do get warts, there are a few things you can do to get rid of them. You can visit your doctor and get their recommendation on different methods. They will probably recommend either laser surgery, getting rid of the wart with electricity or cryosurgery where you “freeze” the wart off.

If you want a more natural approach, there are many treatments you can find in the drug store, or you could try crushing up garlic and applying it to the wart – cover the wart and leave in place for a day. Repeat every day until the wart is gone. Since garlic has ant viral properties it can be effective in treating the causes of warts – the virus. Once the virus is gone, the warts will disappear.
